Born in Poole.  I joined Poole Swimming Club in 1960 and swam for Dorset several times.  In 1967 I won the Ladies Diving Competition for Dorset.

I qualified as an ASA Level Two Teacher in 1971.  In 1987 I became President of Poole Swimming Club and again in 2010.  I became Life President in 2005.  In 1997 I was awarded Dorset Coach of the Year.

I began teaching at The Junction, then known as Broadstone Leisure Centre, in 1993 when the pool first opened.  

Now grey and wrinkled but still going!
