• Social distancing rules remain in place
• Face coverings to be worn throughout the Centre for all 11+ year olds, unless exempt
• Numbers still restricted in the Gymnasium, Swimming Pool and Fitness Classes
• Booking system will remain in place
• Kidz Kingdom remains open
• Bouncy Castle World will continue to take place
• Saunas and men’s steam room will remain open
• Changing rooms and showers will remain open but we encourage you to limit the time in which you are in these areas/facilities

Good Morning All
 
We do hope you and your families have all stayed safe and well during Lockdown 3.0.
 
Following the Government announcement on Monday 22 February 2021, we are pleased to inform you that certain leisure facilities @ The Junction can reopen from Monday 12 April 2021.
 
The Junction will be permitted to open the Gymnasium and Swimming Pool, along with the Tennis Courts from Monday 12 April 2021.  Unfortunately, our popular Fitness Class programme will not recommence until Monday 17 May 2021 at the earliest.  All proposed dates are subject to change, we will seek guidance from the Government throughout this time and will endeavour to keep all our Members and Users updated using emails, website and social media.
 
Upfront/Annual memberships will be extended accordingly.  Contract memberships that are due on the 5^th of each month will be collected on 5 April 2021 and will be 50% less than the original monthly fee agreed at the time of joining, for one month only.  Full fees will be collected for 20 April and 5 May 2021 onwards.
 
If you wish for your membership to remain on hold, please contact Karen Brixey via email – kbrixey@thejunctionbroadstone.co.uk.  If your membership has been on hold since the first Lockdown and you wish to return, please also confirm with Karen your wish to reinstate the membership.
 
We ask all members that took advantage of the equipment hire during the Lockdown period, that they arrange the return of all items on 29, 30 and 31 March 2021. Please confirm with Karen, using the above email address, which date and time would be suitable (ideally 7.30am-4pm).
 
If you wish to hire the equipment for the period of 1 – 29 March, please contact Karen on 01202 777766, payment of £20.00 will be taken over the phone with your debit/credit card details.
 
The Junction’s booking system will remain in place for the foreseeable future.  Members will still be required to book for Gym and Swim sessions, up to 5 days in advance online or by phone.  Fitness Class bookings will be available online from May onwards. 
Non-Members can book up to 24 hours in advance online or by phone, we shall release the necessary instructions in due course.
 
Kidz Kingdom Soft Play area will reopen from Monday 17 May 2021 at the earliest, and again will be bookable 24 hours in advance by phone.
 
We reiterate … reopening dates are subject to change.

Dear All

Following the Government announcement today, we will be placed in Tier 2 after lockdown ends, from Wednesday 2 December 2020.

The Swimming Pool, Gymnasium and Fitness Classes will be available to book as advertised.  Social distancing rules must be adhered to at all times.  We ask that once your fitness session/fitness class has finished, you leave the area/room and no social gatherings should take place.

Face coverings must be worn throughout the Centre until you commence your fitness/sporting activity.

Following the government announcement yesterday, organised indoor and outdoor sports, physical activity and fitness classes will continue at The Junction, as advertised.  No changes will be made to our current booking system for gym, swim and classes.

It is critical that everybody observes the following key behaviours:

• HANDS – Wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds.
• FACE – Wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet.
• SPACE – Stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing face coverings or increasing ventilation indoors).

We are so pleased to inform you that after many weeks in lockdown, The Junction Sports & Leisure Centre can finally re-open its doors from Saturday 25 July 2020.

As I’m sure you can appreciate, there are numerous changes/restrictions within the Centre that have been introduced, in accordance with the government guidelines, for everyone’s safety.  

During lockdown the YMCA team have been very busy installing COVID-19 safety measures throughout the Centre:

• Glass screens installed at Reception 
• Gymnasium layout adapted in line with the current social distancing measures
• Filter modifications to Gym/Fitness Studio Air Conditioning
• Appropriate signage displayed throughout the Centre
• Additional hand sanitiser units installed throughout the Centre
• Additional anti-bacterial sprays placed throughout the Gym/Fitness Studio
• Increased fresh air flows in designated areas

Facilities/services to remain closed until further notice:

• Spinning Studio
• Creche 
• Kidz Kingdom (Soft-Play)
• Saunas/Steam Room
• Café/Licensed Bar

The government guidelines require us to limit the number of people in each area at one time, with this in mind we will be introducing an online booking system for the Gymnasium, Swimming Pool and Fitness Classes.  This on-line system is currently being finalised but will be ready in time for all Members to use upon reopening, further instruction will follow shortly.   

This system will require all Members to create an online account in advance, to avoid any delays to your booking journey.  This can be completed by going to https://thejunction.thejunctionbroadstone.co.uk/pub/RegisterOnline.aspx

Your postcode and email address will need to match the information currently held on our database.  If you encounter any issues, please email Karen Brixey at kbrixey@thejunctionbroadstone.co.uk, Karen will be more than happy to assist.

All Members will be reinstated from Saturday 25 July 2020, each membership will be adjusted accordingly.  If you would like your membership to remain on hold for the time being, please contact Karen using the above email address to make the necessary system amendments.

Tennis Update: The Government is now permitting tennis singles games to take place, between two individuals from separate households. This only applies to singles play. Doubles play is still restricted to same households only. The 2m social distancing rules remain.

YMCA Bournemouth/Poole & Christchurch continues to deliver essential key-worker services in the local area. Our thoughts and prayers are with our remarkable employees in their focus/desire to help others.
