24th March 2020

Dear Members

Following the Government’s decision on Friday 20 March 2020, we have closed The Junction Sports & Leisure Centre until further notice.

The Junction Sports & Leisure Centre is a YMCA managed facility. We will continue to focus on and communicate with our service users/members via all platforms.

Our invaluable employees will be fully supported, and we will as Management look to help our local communities in any way we can. The Junction facility has so many truly dedicated staff/users and members … keep following our Social Media posts and our Website for news/updates … and most importantly STAY SAFE.

Membership Information:

Direct Debit Payments:
Suspended with immediate effect. They will re-commence once permission is forthcoming from the Government that Leisure Centres/Gymnasiums can re-open.

Upfront Payments:
Suspended with immediate effect. All missed days/weeks/months will be transferred to the end of the contracted upfront period, when permission has been received to re-open.

YMCA Donation/Impact:
We have been extremely humbled by numerous Junction Members contacting us as a YMCA managed/operated facility, with regards to your request not to stop direct debit Membership collections, as you recognise that as a Charity YMCA is vital and central to local communities and it’s quest to end homelessness, and to impact all individuals/families with a brighter, fair and more positive future. Your comments/actions have been so very much welcomed and appreciated.

We will still be suspending all direct-debit and upfront Memberships until further notice…but if you are in a position to ‘donate’ towards the impacting work of YMCA Bournemouth, Poole & Christchurch then please use the link below to make an one-off donation or to set up a monthly donation contribution. All donated fees are vital to the frontline positive impact we pride ourselves in delivering each and every day. A HUGE Thank You from all of us here, proud employees of YMCA, and please please keep yourself safe….
